Audrey Grace
I am very happy to announce that Echoes of Yesterday has been approached by the lovely Jaclyn to create some custom pieces for her pop up shop- Audrey Grace.
"Inspired by favorite style icons Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly, as well as other style icons of today and yesterday, the pop up boutique will be an eclectic mix of designer clothing, vintage, accessories, jewelry, and have an art and photography gallery."
Its such an exciting opportunity, I love both Audrey and Kelly, they are such beautiful, stylish ladies. And the clothing of the 50's and 60's have also been of great inspiration to me.
There will be many great designers and artists involved in the Audrey Grace boutique. So head over to the blog and facebook page to keep up with whats happening.

New Finds And Snipets Of My Space
I have been a bad little blogger lately and im sorry for the decline in posts. I have been trying to work hard at producing some products and making preparations for my etsy store. There's just so much swirling around in my head, some days it feels like its going to pop.
Mum brought me The Handmade Marketplace It's a really great book filled with useful tips and the beautiful illustrations of Emily Martin (the black apple). I have been reading up and steadily working my way towards opening shop. But Im a perfectionist, I want everything to be perfect and I too easily keep get caught up in the details. My partner is always telling me off.
I'll keep you posted as things get closer.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

Old School Desk
Earlier this year I found a sad beat up old school desk sitting outside my local Bloomhill opportunity shop. It was begging for a new home and a good clean up. I could see beauty shining through and couldn't resist adopting another project. Everyone else dismissed its charm and thought I was crazy bringing home another 'piece of junk'. It was covered in stickers and graffiti but well worth the $40. I spent ages sanding back the years of dirt and grime, replaced the damaged shelf and gave it a few coats of lacquer. Shes finally finished and look at her now, isn't she beautiful! I have to say I'm a bit devastated that I didn't take a before shot to show my tables humble beginnings, but that doesn't matter. She will be cherished for years to come.
