Quickly stoped off at my local Salvation Army shop this afternoon and found this beautiful picture.

Leather Bow Brooches And Barrette's

I've just started making these little leather bows. I made some small and some large, some as brooches some as barrette's. I am also going to make them as shoe clips (as soon as the clips arrive in the mail).

Art That Inspires Me- Liza Corbett

Liza Corbett  is an amazing artist who I stumbled across recently through flickr. Her drawings are beautiful yet eerie.  

There is a strong use of line in Liza's work that attracts me, it gives her images a sense of drama. The colours and imagery are just amazing! She is a very tallented artist and I find her work very inspirational.

Twiggy Dreamscapes

Patrick Dougherty's twig construtions are magical! He combines his carpentry skills with his love of nature to create these amazing installations.

I love them they are just so surreal, I wish I could live in one.

Mori Girls

The mori girls (森ガール) belong to a Japanese subculture. Mori in Japanese means "forest" and a Mori Girl dresses like a forest wanderer, a girl who lives amongst cedar and pine trees. Mori girls choose to live their lives on their own terms,stopping to appreciate the little things that others overlook amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Mori girls love handmade items, vintage books, bicycles and cameras. Their fairytale style clothing consists of floaty a-line dresses, lace, puff sleeves, vintage prints, natural materials, pastel and earthy tones as well as quaint accessories.

 I absolutely adore this style, its so free spirited. I plan to make some clothing inspired by the mori girls maybe even a painting or two.

New name but still the same

Blaidd Drwg is now Echoes of Yesterday!
The name has changed but everything else is still the same.

Ive chosen to change the name of my blog so as all my work is under the same name. This way its easier to find me and it saves some confusion. I hope that you will still come and visit : )
